ABOUT ME
What I love about my job
I love coming alongside people and helping them connect more deeply with themselves, seeing how this can help them feel more grounded and calmer and with more direction about what they want to happen next.
I love building a relationship where people feel validated and seen and helping them learn skills so they can better manage their difficulties and create a life that represents the real them.

Person-centred counselling is all about coming alongside you in solidarity. With a background in Social Anthropology, I spent years in the UK, Europe, Africa, and Asia, seeking to understand the human condition and be in solidarity with people’s suffering.
Over 30 years, I’ve been inspired by Faith Traditions, Buddhist Psychology, Mindfulness, Focusing, Enneagram of Personality, Non-Violent Communication, Child-Led Education, and more recently, Climate Activism.

My life experience gives me particular insights into issues of identity, culture, and spirituality, as well as relationships, family, and children.

What I'm All About
I started counselling because I wanted to share the experience of being listened to non-judgementally and with compassion. Initially, I worked with women who self-harm and saw the powerful change an empathic relationship can bring about for people feeling isolated.
The Person-Centred Approach offers an alternative to feeling someone is trying to 'fix' you.
I trust that you know what you need, and I'll be there with you, as you come back to your truth.

Using an embodied approach and a range of methods such as Mindfulness, Non-Violent Communication, and Active Hope (for Climate and Eco-Anxiety), I can give you skills and help you come back to yourself, manage your relationships better, and engage with problems we see in the world.
